POG role descriptions

Role Description
Business Sponsor Senior member of the group with accountability for decision-making by the group. Works in an agile way, leading the discussion in meetings. Overall responsibility for the decision-making, especially where the group cannot reach consensus. 
Senior user(s)/
Subject matter expert(s) 
Senior users have access to the system but may not use it on a frequent basis. They have expertise in the product area and responsibility for aspects of related process and policy either University-wide or within their department/division. Responsible for assessing upcoming changes and deciding what functionality to take forward through further consultation with peers and colleagues as required.
 
Some decisions may also require additional input from experts. This could be achieved through formal membership of the group or attendance as and when relevant (eg EDU, Safety Office, POD).
HR Analytics team member Advise the group on how any proposed changes could affect and impact the data quality and reporting aspects related to the various charters (eg Athena SWAN) and HESA.
System user(s) A regular user of the relevant module(s) of the system with sound knowledge of associated processes. Represents departmental users. Understands the impact of process and system decisions.
Functional Analyst Member of the Functional Analysis team. Responsible for providing analytic support of functionality/new features and changes, aiding the decision-making on prioritisation and impact of changes. Provides expert knowledge of the system functionality and advises on the system impact of new features.
Business Change  Member of the HR Systems Business Change team. Responsible for advising on required business change activities and in collaboration with POG members, ensuring that end users are ready to adopt any changes when they are implemented.
