Using Recruitment in CoreHR: Managing vacancies and applicants

This training has two components:

  1. Recruitment eLearners (online): Complete the six Recruitment eLearners to receive Recruitment Administrator access in CoreHR
  2. Workshop (in person): You will be invited to attend a workshop once you’ve been actively using the system for a couple of months.

eLearners: Estimated 1.5 working days, depending on the user.

eLearners can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection, at any time and completed in stages, if required.

We recommend users take regular breaks and aim to complete 1 - 2 eLearners a day. 

Workshop: Half a day.

Recruitment navigation 
Overview of the recruitment functionality in CoreHR and guidance on basic navigation of this system, including identifying where key information can be located.

Preparing the vacancy for advertising - part 1 
The first step to update your vacancy ready for advertising on the University’s website. This is the first part of a two-part online course.

Preparing the vacancy for advertising - part 2 
The second of a two-part online course, providing guidance on getting your vacancy ready for advertising on the University’s website.

Selecting candidates - shortlisting packs and priority candidate screening 
System guidance of the processes typically completed on the day of the vacancy deadline.

Selecting candidates - interview preparation 
Includes system steps relating to creation of interview schedules, and system management of applicants through the interview process.

Offering employment - successful and non-successful candidates 
Some of the final system steps completed at the end of the selection process, including offering to the successful applicant and managing unsuccessful candidates.

Workshop

This hands-on workshop will help to consolidate your learning and give you the opportunity to ask questions and get additional guidance on key processes and system steps.

Please note that this workshop is currently delivered remotely.

Tips for completing the eLearners

  • Most eLearners include a test at the end to help embed the learning. You have up to five attempts to achieve the required 80% pass mark
  • We recommend you take notes throughout the course to help you complete the test
  • Once you have completed your course and have returned to the course list in CoSy, you may need to refresh the page to see your updated course status.

Attend a workshop 

Workshops are currently being delivered via Microsoft Teams. Our HRIS training team will contact you once you have been using CoreHR Recruitment for approximately two months.
