  • Creating job adverts for the University’s website.
  • Producing shortlisting packs for recruitment panels.
  • Arranging interviews.
  • Updating applicants on their progress through the selection process.

Recruitment Administrator
(Read Only)
  • Viewing vacancy and applicant information within CoreHR but no requirement to make updates on the system.

If required: Running Reports

Personnel Administrator
  • Setting up new starters.
  • Recording employee changes, e.g.:
    • change in hours
    • change in contract type
    • change of address
    • Recording leavers
    • Recording employees transferring to different roles across the University

If required: Running Reports

Personnel Administrator
(Read Only)
  • Viewing employee information within CoreHR but no requirement to make updates on the system.

If required: Running Reports

Staff Request Creator

  • Creating Staff Requests – forms which are required for new roles and some employee changes

Staff Request Approver (Department or Division)

  • Approving Staff  Requests – the mechanism by which new posts and appointments are set up in CoreHR.

Pay Approver (Department or Division)

  • Responsibility for approving salaries for employees.

If required: Running Reports

HRIS Data Services Users
  • Creating/Approving Staff Requests – forms which are required for new roles and some employee changes
  • Requesting that new posts/appointments are set up in the system (raising a “Staff Request”).
  • Recruitment Administrator (see role above).

Reporting Only
  • Running reports on some or all of the following: applicants, recruitment campaigns, employee and post data, training courses and delegates, or payroll costing.

  • Administer casual worker and casual teacher person and appointment records.
