Workforce Management: managing annual leave, sickness and other absence

Multiple eLearners available to support HR teams responsible for managing leave, sickness and other absences via PeopleXD. 

Up to half a day to complete all courses.

A brief summary of each Workforce Management eLearner is listed below:

The following three cover the essential steps which are needed to enable staff to request leave or managers/ HR to approve leave and record sickness:  

  • Workforce Management – Assigning a Pay Code - determines which leave/ absence types can be requested/ recorded for staff member.
  • Workforce Management - Assigning a Work Schedule records number of hours staff member each works each day, used for holiday calculations and leave/ absence bookings.
  • Workforce Management – Assigning a Balance Fundamental to calculate the individual's leave entitlement and record public holidays and fixed closure dates for staff member.  

Other leave and absence related training include:  

  • Workforce Management – Adjusting a leave balance - useful where there is a discrepancy between the University's central holiday calculation and the system calculation.  Or to record carried forward leave.
  • Workforce Management – Record leave - Where HR team is recording annual leave on behalf of staff/ manager.
