The following three cover the essential steps which are needed to enable staff to request leave or managers/ HR to approve leave and record sickness:
- Workforce Management – Assigning a Pay Code - determines which leave/ absence types can be requested/ recorded for staff member.
- Workforce Management - Assigning a Work Schedule - records number of hours staff member each works each day, used for holiday calculations and leave/ absence bookings.
- Workforce Management – Assigning a Balance - Fundamental to calculate the individual's leave entitlement and record public holidays and fixed closure dates for staff member.
Other leave and absence related training include:
- Workforce Management – Adjusting a leave balance - useful where there is a discrepancy between the University's central holiday calculation and the system calculation. Or to record carried forward leave.
- Workforce Management – Record leave - Where HR team is recording annual leave on behalf of staff/ manager.
