5. Approve or reject a request

Staff requests awaiting approval will be displayed under My Approvals in Staff Requests. Use the search box to find the request in the list of outstanding staff requests. 

Navigation path: Employee Dashboard > Recruitment > Staff Requests > View 

 

  1. Click the ellipsis icon and select View Approval for the staff request you would like to approve or reject. 
  2. Check the details of the request carefully.
  3. To approve or reject the request click on step 8 – Summary and follow the guidance below.

 

  1. Click Actions and select Approve.

  2. Click OK

Approved staff requests go to the Reward Team via the system. The approvers will be notified when the new vacancy and post have been set up. 

 

Note: You will be notified once the appointment (and vacancy) has been setup. Please be mindful that turnaround times can vary, visit the Reward team webpage to see current capacity. 

  1. Click Actions and select Reject 

  2. Click OK. 

 

Note: An email notification will be sent to the requestor, which includes the rejection reason/s. Comments added will be visible to anyone with access to view staff requests for your area.  

Once the Staff Request Creator receives the email, they should copy the rejected staff request and make the required changes, before resubmission.
