3. Recurrent awards - 'Awards for Excellence'

Recurrent awards under the 'Awards for Excellence' part of the scheme are paid by directly updating the scale point on the employee’s appointment.

Navigation path: People Management > Employees > View > Employee Search > (find individual) > View
  1. Select Current salary from the staff record menu.
  2. Click into the Appointment selection menu to ensure the correct appointment is highlighted.
  3. Check that you are on the correct tab - Current salary.
  4. Click ADD on the right-hand side. 
  5. The Amend Salary window opens.
  6. Only update the outlined fields below (and review the others for accuracy):

Field Name (* mandatory)

Description

Make effective from*

Enter the date as 1 August of the relevant/current year.

New Point*

Update the point to reflect the addition of one recurrent increment (ie increase the point by one)

Reason*

Select Excellence Scheme Award.

 

  1. Click SAVE.
  2. The amendment will now be visible at the top of Salary History with a status of Pending, until it is approved by the relevant Salary Approver and Payroll.
  3. Exit the screen, back to People Management.
  4. Make sure the relevant correspondence/letter is issued to the employee. Follow the Produce letters and forms in PeopleXD guide.
