Appointing guidance (online applicants): Replace existing appointment (same department)

Contents

  1. Check if applicant has existing staff record
  2. No existing staff record > 'Create new employee' (online applicants)
  3. Existing staff record found:
    1. Employee will transfer from another department to which you do not have PeopleXD access: Transfer from another department OR
    2. New appointment will replace existing one within same department: Replace existing appointment (online applicants) OR
    3. New appointment will not replace existing one: Create additional appointment (online applicants) OR
    4. Rehire ex-staff member (online applicants)
  4. Complete New Starter/Appointment appointing wizard
  5. Complete New starter checklist
  6. Commence new appointment

Replace existing appointment

  1. The Replace Existing Contract or Create New Additional Contract options appear.
  2. Select Replace Existing Contract. 
  3. Click to highlight the appoinment being replaced.
  4. Click APPLY.
  5. This launches a three-step New Appointment appointing wizard.
  6. Proceed to the Complete the Appointing Wizard guidance, starting with Organisational Structure.
